A staff member from my Hospital tested positive or was exposed to COVID-19

If somebody in your hospital tests positive for COVID-19 or was exposed, it’s your responsibility to notify any Roo relief veterinarians or vet techs that worked during their shift and inform Roo by emailing hello@roo.vet.

  • The veterinarian’s/technician’s contact information can be found in your confirmation email or in your user dashboard under “Confirmed Shifts” on the right hand side.
  • You should provide the date and location of exposure, but please do not share who tested positive or any personal information.

If somebody in your hospital tests positive for COVID-19 and you are not closing the clinic, it’s also your responsibility to inform any upcoming Roo relief veterinarians or vet techs of potential exposure and Roo by emailing hello@roo.vet.

  • It’s your responsibility to determine whether booked vets and techs are comfortable visiting your hospital within the next 2-5 days.

If your hospital is forced to close because of a positive case, please let your Roo relief veterinarians or technicians know that their shifts will be canceled and cancel the shift through the Roo platform.

  • If the hospital closes less than 48 hours before the start of the affected shift, the vet or vet tech will be compensated at the hospital’s expense.
  • If the shift is canceled more than 48 hours before the shift starts, the hospital will be refunded the full shift amount.
