Are Roo relief Vets and Techs independent contractors or employees?

Roo relief veterinarians and technicians are independent contractors, which means Roo does not take taxes out of your income like a full-time employer would. You’ll be responsible for paying your own taxes on any income earned working with Roo.

We know this is a common stressor for Roo vets and techs, so we’ve put together a number of resources to help you file taxes as an independent contractor. Additionally, we’ve partnered with Fit Money CPA to provide additional support. Be sure to make good use of this information as there are a lot of tax savings to be had by writing off various business expenses.
