One of our practice managers’ favorite parts about Roo is they get to decide who works at their hospitals. This also means hospitals are responsible for reviewing the experience and qualifications of our Vets and Techs BEFORE confirming shifts.
If you confirm a shift but later find your Roo Vet or Tech lacks the experience needed, our Cancellation Policy will still apply, and you may be charged cancellation fees depending how far in advance of the shift you’re canceling. Verifying experience before confirming shifts can help save you money and time, plus provide a better experience for everyone involved.
We provide a ton of great information in our Vet and Tech profiles to help you make an informed decision about who will be supporting your hospital:
- For Veterinarians: We include licensing information, DEA registration, and Fear Free and other certifications, plus specific procedures our vets are proficient in. You can make DEA registration a requirement for your shift, and our team is happy to work with you if you’d like to add additional requirements for a shift that are not technically possible within the Roo platform.
- For Technicians: We have grouped our technicians into 4 Tech Tiers to give you an indication of their level of experience, skill set, and procedures they’re comfortable with. Please note that our Tech Tiers are different in California due to state regulations. You can learn more about our tech tiers here.
