Our Relief Veterinarians and Technicians are independent contractors and we recommend they carry their own liability and workers comp insurance, but Roo does not provide it for them.
If you would like to ensure your Vets have liability insurance, you can now toggle “Must have Professional Liability Insurance” when you post a shift.
Note: Some hospital groups have opted to have this setting be default on for every hospital. In that situation you may not be able to toggle this setting off.
For shifts where liability insurance is required you'll be able to see if a Vet has indicated they have liability insurance when they request your shift.
Note: Vets self-report their liability insurance status. This information has not been independently verified by Roo.
