Employment Verification: Need proof of income? Here’s how to get it

You’re not alone — this is a super common gray area that affects a lot of us who rely on Roo as our primary source of income.

Let’s talk turkey-flavored kibble: As a Relief Tech with Roo, you’re a 1099 independent contractor which means we can’t provide traditional employment verification documents (since you’re not technically an employee at our home base in San Francisco, sorry).

Don’t worry — your income history is usually a great substitute for these documents, and it’s just a few clicks away!

How to access your work & income history:

  • 📲 Go to your Roo Dashboard and smash that “Earnings” tab right at the top there
  • 🖨️ Click the Export button on the right-hand side to print or download your records

That should do it! (Thanks Catrick Swayze for shielding my personal info there)

Need your 1099-NEC form?

This should do the trick too! You should’ve gotten this last January right as tax season was heating up.

  • If you earned over $600 last year (which is like 2 shifts, so ya probably did), we emailed your 1099-NEC from no-reply@track1099.com. Search your inbox for an email from that sender.
  • Can’t find it? Email us at hello@roo.vet, and we’ll request a new one for you!

We’re here to make managing your relief career simple and stress-free, so you always have easy access to the records you need ‘em!
