Does Roo withhold taxes from my paycheck?

No. Because you work for Roo as an independent contractor, we do not take taxes out of your pay. You’ll be paid the full amount listed for the shifts you work. However, you’ll still be responsible for reporting your Roo income and paying taxes directly to the IRS. For this reason, we always recommend setting aside a portion of your Roo income for taxes.

Meeting with a tax professional is a good way to determine what percentage of your income you should set aside. They can also recommend if it would be better to make your tax payments annually or quarterly.
