How payments work on Roo: Updating Bank Info or Card on File

The name of the game at Roo is making your life easier. We keep payments simple and secure so you can focus on what matters — running your hospital. You’ll never have to worry about missing a payment again since we take care of all that automatically.

When do I get charged?

With Roo, you can freely post as many shifts as you want with zero upfront costs! If you don’t find coverage, you don’t pay — simple as that.

Your bank account or credit card won’t be charged until 72 hours before a confirmed shift. You can also cancel any shift more than 8 weeks in advance without being charged anything.

How do I set up my payment method?

You can pay for Roo shifts using a linked bank account, credit card, or debit card.

When you first set-up your Roo account, you’ll be prompted to add a payment method. Missed the boat? Don’t worry, we got you:

  • 📍 In the top bar, click on your Account Name and select Settings from the drop-down menu
  • 👇 Click on “Hospital Account” and select the “Payment Information” tab.
  • 🏦 Choose your adventure! Click “Add Card” to pay via credit or debit card, or choose “Add account via Stripe” to securely link your bank account.

🦓 We use Stripe, a secure service that lets you log in to your bank directly. If your bank isn’t supported, no worries — you can manually enter your banking info.
