How does Roo determine shift pricing?

Roo uses dynamic pricing, which means the price of relief shifts is based on a number of factors like your hospital’s location, type of veterinary work performed, local supply and demand factors, and the length of the shift itself.

No surprises: We’ll always let you know what a shift will cost before you post it, and you’ll see the final price before you confirm each shift.

Posting multiple shifts?

Save time by duplicating shifts with just a few clicks! You’ll see the price of each shift and the total before anything gets posted. Then, you’ll be able to adjust the price of each shift individually.

How can I change the price of a shift?

If a shift’s pricing is too high for your hospital’s budget, you can make adjustments to the price of any shift using Roo’s flexible pricing tools. After filling out all the details for your shift, simply click the pencil icon next to the shift’s price and use the slider to select your desired price. You can also type your desired price into the box.

Keep in mind, it may be harder to find coverage for a shift that’s priced too low. Alternatively, you can increase your chances of finding coverage by boosting a shift’s price. You can learn more about setting your own prices here.

You can also change the cost of any shift by adjusting the shift details. Changing the shift’s start and end times to make it shorter or removing requirements such as whether surgery is expected can have an impact on the shift’s final price. Once you’ve entered all the required info, you’ll see the final price of your shift update in real time as you make changes.
