What happens if I work past my scheduled end time (Additional Time Requests)?

At Roo, you’ll always be paid for the work you perform. If you work past your shift’s scheduled end time, you can submit an Additional Time Request when you rate your shift.

Once the hospital confirms your Additional Time Request, we’ll let you know and send the payment via direct deposit. This will be processed as a separate payment so hang tight, processing times can very by bank.

⌛ You’ll have up to two weeks to submit an Additional Time Request, but we recommend doing it while the experience is still fresh for the hospital.

What if there’s a dispute?

We always want to make sure we get this right, and we’re happy to hear you out. If the Hospital does not approve your Additional Time Request, we’ll reach out to you and do our best to get to the bottom of it. Having supporting evidence, like messages with the hospital, can be helpful.

We always recommend letting the hospital know you’ll be submitting an Additional Time request before you leave after your shift.

A quick reminder:

We always encourage you and the hospital to end your shift at the scheduled time unless both of you agree to Additional Time and payment in advance. Clear communication leads to smoother shifts for everyone!
