Renewed Expired Shift Requests

We’ve made it easy for hospitals to renew expired shift requests for you!

When a hospital renews your expired request, you’ll receive a message in your Roo Inbox and an email with a link to Instant Book the shift if you’re still interested. Hospitals can renew multiple expired shift requests for the same shift, so hop to it if you want it before it’s gone!
 

How to book a renewed expired shift request

Step 1: Viewing your renewed shift request

1. If you receive a message that an expired shift request has been renewed, click the notification or log in to your Roo account to view it in your Inbox.
   1. We’ll also send you an email notifying you that your expired shift request has been renewed with a link to the shift.
   2. You’ll only receive a renewed request if you don’t have another confirmed Roo shift that day.
2. Click the link in the message to view the shift details.

Step 2: Booking the renewed shift

1. Review the shift details including the shift date, start and end times, pay, and more.
   1. Expired shift requests are renewed with the original shift details, prior to any proposed adjustments, including price and time.
   2. If an expired shift request is renewed, you’ll be unable to propose adjustments to the shift.
2. Click Instant Book to be automatically confirmed for the shift if you’re still interested in working that day.
3. You’ll receive your regular shift confirmation notifications once the shift is booked.

Note: Hospitals can renew multiple expired requests for the same shift, and since each comes with an Instant Book link, shifts are filled on a first come first serve basis. If someone else books the shift before you, we’ll let you know the shift is no longer available when viewing the shift.

Timeframe to book a renewed expired shift request

• If a hospital renews your request more than 24 hours before the shift start time, the renewed request will expire 12 hours before the shift
• If a hospital renews your request less than 24 hours before the shift start time, the renewed request will not expire
