Hospital Shift Changes: How to change the time, date, location or details of an upcoming shift?

Need to make changes to an upcoming shift? We’ve got you! Here’s how to handle changes to your upcoming shifts based on the shift’s status:

Before a shift is Requested

No problem! You can easily make changes to any posted shift in the Roo platform before it has been requested. Just click the 3 dots icon to the right of the shift in your Dashboard or in the top right corner of any shift card in your Manage Shifts tab, and you’ll see an option to Edit Shift.

After a shift is Requested, before it’s Confirmed

If a Vet or Tech has requested a shift, but it hasn’t been confirmed yet:

  • You won’t be able to edit the shift without notifying the requesting Vet or Tech first.
  • 🚨 Don’t Confirm the shift yet if you know changes are needed
  • 💬  Instead, reach out to our Customer Support Heroes via chat, phone at 📲 833-ROO-VETS (766-8387), or ****this link, and we’ll help coordinate the changes with the requesting Vet or Tech so you don’t lose their existing Shift Request.

Backup Plan: You can also create a new shift with the correct details, just make sure to delete the old shift to avoid Confirming the wrong one 😬 — FYI this isn’t the best experience for Roo Vets and Techs, but we get it, things change. We want you to have the flexibility to manage your relief shifts however works best for you.
