Reviewing Shift Requests & Confirming a Shift
After you post a shift, you’ll start receiving requests from Vets or Techs, which you can view and manage from your Home Page. This is where you’ll see New Shift Requests and, once you confirm a Vet or Tech, your Confirmed Schedule.
Home Page Process
On your Home Page, you’ll see all pending New Shift Requests for any open shifts. Click the “Review” button on a shift to see the Vets or Techs requesting each shift.
This opens a sidebar where you can review Vet or Tech profiles by clicking on their name. Select the Relief Veterinarian or Technician you want to support your hospital, then click Confirm to make it official!
Manage Shifts Page Process
Head to the “Requested” tab on your Manage Shifts page, then click the number at the bottom of any shift card to the right of “Requests.”
This opens a sidebar where you can review Vet or Tech profiles by clicking on their name. Select the Relief Veterinarian or Technician you want to support your hospital, then click Confirm to make it official! Your confirmed shift will then appear on your dashboard.
🔍 Missing a Shift Request?
If a shift request disappears, it could be because:
- The Vet or Tech was confirmed at another hospital for the same date.
- The Vet or Tech canceled their request.
- The shift request expired (read on!)
⏳ Expired Shift Requests
To be respectful to our Vets and Techs, shift requests expire after 72 hours if there’s no response from your hospital.
However, you can now renew expired requests if you still want to confirm that Vet or Tech.
- Under the Requested tab on the Manage Shifts page, click on any shift to open a side panel of all your requests for that shift. Expired shift requests will appear after any active requests, sorted from oldest to newest.
- Select the expired shift request you’d like to renew to automatically send the Vet or Tech a personalized message with the option to instant book the shift. You’ll only be able to renew expired shift requests for Vets or Techs that don’t have a confirmed Roo shift for that day.
- If the Vet or Tech still wants to work your shift, you’ll receive an email confirming the shift details, date, and the name of the Vet or Tech’s name who will be supporting your hospital.
